I am a bit lost here. In your pic you are in an Army beret but your rank says Air Force. So I would believe you are prior service. To get Army awards you have to be in the Army. Awards in other services don't always transfer over. Your previous DD214 should have anytime spent deployed. Besides that you should have some sort of orders sending you overseas. I have orders for all of my tours. But for even if you could transfer over you would have to met the requirements for the Army Awards. I have three tours but only 2 Overseas Service Ribbons. When I was in Jordan I was injured and came back early. I was only deployed for 8 months and 12 days. You have to be overseas for 8 months and 15 days to receive the award. So I missed it by 3 days. Overseas Service Strips (Combat Stripes) they are cumulative. You get one for 6 months overseas. I think I have 5 so far. You should go to your S1 shop and they should be able to look at this and advice you on what documents should be able to be used as a valid source.

I am prior service sir as stated in my OP. I will get ithe th the S1 shop. My DD214 shows 1 year 2 months overseas but doesn’t break it down by region. I reached out to the Air Force and hopefully get those orders. The orders themselves are what I need.

SSG (Join to see) - Your best hope is to contact someone that you knew when you deployed to get a copy of the orders. I don't believe the achieves keeps every deployment order for every unit. You might want to also try the unit itself.

It's been 30 years since I 1st tried to get my overseas ribbon added to my dd 214 and it has been fruitless. Even though it shows I ets'd from Fort Wainwright Alaska???

I have used the archives to get copies of various records a couple of times to prove various in-country assignments in Vietnam and medals and citations awarded. Each time they found the info and forwarded to me. It does however take 4 - 6 weeks. You can file directly on-line at https://vetrecs.archives.gov/VeteranRequest/home.html.

The National Archives page has resources to request your service records regardless of your branch of service. I think the way to request your records is sending a SF 180 indicating the specific records that you want sent to your address.

Has Block 12 Record of Service changed recently? If it hasn't and your foreign service period/s are not shown, then there is a problem. Is that what the issue is?

My foreign period of service does show but is that what determines overseas bars etc? I was hoping for the orders delineating specific operations etc.

SSG (Join to see) - Basically the information in block 12 supports the Overseas Ribbon. Additional information elsewhere on the DD214 'should' support the overseas bars, will not necessarily delineate any specific operation. And see LT Rosa's response.
