2LT Private RallyPoint Member 5586706 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hello,<br />I am hoping someone here can provide me some guidance as I have been sent in a circle by everyone else. I was in the National Guard until I commissioned into the Army Reserves in December. I received my discharge and reserve orders in January. Since January, I have been attempting to get a new CAC. However, my DEERS profile only lists the National Guard section and not the Reserve section: So I am unable to get a new CAC. To make matters worse, the National Guard CAC has stopped working due to being discharged from the Guard. My unit is telling me that everything has been updated on their side and that I just need to take my orders and DA71 to DEERS and that they can make the corrections. The Site Security Manager at DEERS said that is not something that they can do and that the Army Project office needs to make the correction. I called HRC and they sent my in the same circle. <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>This happened to me a year ago when I switched from the Guard to Reserve. My CAC was shut off on the day I left the National guard in FEB, I wasn&#39;t in the system to get a new one until around April. All you can do is work with your gaining unit admin, S1, G1 and up the chain to ensure you are added to the roles in the Reserve.<br />Personally I am unimpressed with the Army Reserve Personnel administration functions in comparison to the other components.
