How can I find out if I owe the "Military" money for college loans, or housing?

There is no "the Military" there are specific entities and reasons you would owe money. The military doesn't provide college loans, so you're good there and you would only owe money for housing if you were incorrectly collecting BAH, in which case you would already know. You would receive a letter of indebtedness. If you received this letter and have been paying it off you can always call DFAS and ask them the status of your debt.

Thank you for this information. DFAS is whom I need to contact. Thank you again.

SGT Everett Bickford unless of course your debt is for GI Bill benefits, then it would be the VA.

SGT Everett Bickford - have you incurred an Active Duty Service Obligation (ADSO)? If you have and not worked them off, then there maybe funds to recoup. With officers, the Branch Managers track that. The only exception is for GI Bill, again contract rolled by the VA.

If you do , and they haven'y contacted you for it- then they will as a last resort, turn it over to the IRS for collection. Then you will damn sure know it.
