You'll also have to look at the IN/OUT calls for each MOS you are looking to change. Talk to your Career NCO for more information.<br /><br /><a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="148812" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/148812-79s-career-counselor-usaraf-hq-usaraf-setaf">SFC Private RallyPoint Member</a>, any advice?Response by SGT Javier Silva made Jul 9 at 2019 2:14 PM2019-07-09T14:14:38-04:002019-07-09T14:14:38-04:00MSgt Michael Smith4795120<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If you decline a promotion, that is a negative force indicator on your record. You will probably be denied reenlistment based on that. The Army says you are ready for more responsibility. Unfortunately that means that this career path you want is not going to happen. If I were you I would seek out other career options based on your new rank. I'm sure you will find something great.Response by MSgt Michael Smith made Jul 9 at 2019 4:33 PM2019-07-09T16:33:25-04:002019-07-09T16:33:25-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member4795152<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There are a few ways that you can stop being promotable, simply by letting your APFT or weapons Qual expire. If you are promotable by MLI then you can't become non promotable unless you're flagged. I have seen someone voluntarily waive their promotable status by a memo, but that was before MLI.<br />Secondary consideration is that you might waive your status and then be denied for your MOS request. Blackhawk mechanic is not heavily under strength and HRC may decide that the strengths don't support your request.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 9 at 2019 4:44 PM2019-07-09T16:44:20-04:002019-07-09T16:44:20-04:00SFC Michael D.4797022<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Take the promotion then drop your paperwork to become a Blackhawk pilot.Response by SFC Michael D. made Jul 10 at 2019 8:29 AM2019-07-10T08:29:41-04:002019-07-10T08:29:41-04:00SSG Dale London4803470<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Fill out DA Form 4187 Request for Personnel Action, bearing in mind that if your pmos is under strength then you porbably won't be allowed to reclas anyway.Response by SSG Dale London made Jul 11 at 2019 11:06 PM2019-07-11T23:06:21-04:002019-07-11T23:06:21-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member4841612<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>why don't you just contact aviation proponent and ask if it is possible for a rank ETP.
