How can a former Marine reservist can get a hold of old W-2s from a couple years ago?

To maintain a position in my department, everyone must endure a licensing background check that includes tax returns.  One of my employees has had a very difficult time in locating his W-2's from a couple years ago so that he can file tax returns.  Any direction would be appreciated.

If it's only been a couple of years he should be able to get them through DFAS. http://www.dfas.mil/mypayinfo/formarines.html
