How are you now; as opposed to how you were before you joined the military?

Wrinkles, gray hair, crackety joints, increased motrin intake, increased scotch intake --- but way more good stuff

Appreciative for what I have and an ability not to get spun up about simple things. This has the potential for becoming a very long list.

Before? Short , fat, shy, insecure. After? taller, slim, confident, cocky, outspoken, loyal, dedicated, and still a Marine, lol

I am a lot more humble than I was before. I am more careful with what I do. I like to plan things out more long term. I am actually less ambitious than I was before. I had previously planned to be a millionaire before the age of 30, but now I am fatter, slower to make decisions, and more risk averse than I was when I first turned 20. I am worse off physically as a soldier than I was as a high school athlete.
