Unlike the Marines, everybody's shit stinks. Nobody is going to judge you on your prior service or MOS, only your current performance.Response by SFC J Fullerton made Oct 19 at 2018 11:01 AM2018-10-19T11:01:16-04:002018-10-19T11:01:16-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member4058299<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No one will care. We have a lot of Marines in the Army and the Infantry is pretty much the same same wherever you go. Getting dirty and shooting guns is the same whether you're in the Corps, Army or National Guard. The only difference is the units that train more, do it better.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 19 at 2018 11:03 AM2018-10-19T11:03:26-04:002018-10-19T11:03:26-04:00SSG Steven Mangus4058309<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You might get a lifetime supply of crayons, but that is about it..Response by SSG Steven Mangus made Oct 19 at 2018 11:08 AM2018-10-19T11:08:20-04:002018-10-19T11:08:20-04:00CSM Darieus ZaGara4058543<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You will receive a certain amount of respect as long as you don’t boast. Fit in and kick but! You may receive some good old fashioned ribbing from the DI’s. As for the newer trainees they will have respect for you, again as long as you work hard and fit in. Your experience and leadership should shine through. Thank you for your service.Response by CSM Darieus ZaGara made Oct 19 at 2018 12:54 PM2018-10-19T12:54:54-04:002018-10-19T12:54:54-04:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member4058574<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Can you shoot, move, and communicate? If the answer is yes, then I don't care where you came from. Nor do I care if you were a POG. Mission complete. that's what I expect. But When i was in basic there was prior service navy and the drill sergeants loved him. Of course it all depends on where you go and who you're with. But since you're already "soldierized" and know how to act. they most likely wont give you as much shit as the other trainees.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 21 at 2018 1:17 AM2018-10-21T01:17:52-04:002018-10-21T01:17:52-04:00SFC Ricky Esckelson4065291<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I went from the MARINES to the Army, genes a rank , from air wing to artillery .
