When I learned of the program I was living in Wyoming and was looking to relocate to the area. One great change under the program was the state stopped taxing military retirement, which is always a plus for veterans who draw retirement benefits. <br />I took advantage of the Veteran&#39;s Home Buyer Grant which provided $5,000 towards closing/purchase of our home. (Another great option!)<br />If you are a veteran or transitioning out of the service, you may want to explore what Iowa has to offer for job opportunities.
