"Bad Bob" Howard was as tough as they come. I was called into his office while going through the SFQC at Ft Bragg in 1983, when he was still a MAJ. He chewed me out for not being Number One in the class, as he pointed out he had been in every Army school he attended. Had me in a full brace for the entire session. Never forget him!
