The Memorial behind Me and the American flag in the New Memorial. Already standing in this Veteran&#39;s Park are Memorial to WWII, Korea and Viet Nam. The Viet Nam and Korean War Memorial were moved here from another location in town earlier about one year ago. The American Legion Post 208, and AMVETS, Post 495, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 1515 and the Town Veteran&#39;s Service Officer Cynthia Harris, TSgt, USAF (Ret) all had worked hard on all these Memorials. Edward Shropshire a WWII Veteran of the US Coast Guard and Member of Legion Post 208 had drawn the plans for the park and it appeared exactly as He had planned. this includes foot paths, parking and benches . This park is in front of the Veteran&#39;s Memorial building, which is the Millis Town Hall.<br />The Memorials to WWI and earlier war, to include the Spanish America war, Civil War, Revolutionary war and French and Indian War are approx a half mile away in a park next to the front of the American Legion Post Building. That also has had a new hard surface paths and benches added in the past few years. That had been a project of an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scout Troop 115 which our Legion Post sponsors.
