I agree with some of the points outlined in this because we have seen it firsthand. Look at How Boston was snowed in, no food, no water. No one has any clue about how much gold we have within Fort Knox, the first/last time we saw the inside of that place was late 70s I believe. People are not ready to hear that truth. This alone, makes me take a sideways glance at the article.

That said, he makes some valid points. We are a nation that is living in turbulent social and economic times-not unlike the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.

What is different, if anything, is the appearance that the government is an "activist" one, rather than an incumbent one. I personally don't see this as fact...but most people, on either "side" of any issue seem to believe it. In the past, the "movements" felt they were up against entrenched government status quo...while those resistant to change believed those in power were largely from "their club". Now, we believe that the President and his Administration are products of a new mindset, and that has some feeling like they're gaining ground...while others are fearful they are about to become the "opposition".

Rational thought will quickly correct this fallacy: Why are the biggest voices in "Income Inequality" some of the wealthiest people in America? Why have we seen more, not less weapons sales? What is the mindset of a population espousing "sustainablity" while increasing dependence on technology and increasing power usage? In short, its all about votes, money and markets. Mind you, this coming from someone who stays away from popular news and rarely comments on anything political, I am absolutely ready for a bomb to explode, metaphorically speaking. The article is a series of hypotheticals and that's all it is. Heck, I can see America collapsing if a meteor plowed a one mile wide ditch through the Rockies and all the land between the Rockies and the Appalachians dropped 3oo feet below sea level. I'm sure that you would agree with me that that would likely cause more than a trifling upset to the US (and I'm equally sure that you would agree with me that it isn't likely to happen).
