Have you seen Amazon's "The Man in the High Castle"? If so, what was your opinion?

I just finished watching the second episode of Amazon's series "The Man in the High Castle". Based on a novel by Phillip K. Dick, and set in 1962, it explores the possibility that the Nazi's won World War II by dropping an atomic bomb on Washington D.C. At the moment there are only two episodes available, but the rest of the series is due to be released on November 20, 2015. I heartily recommend this series. It paints an interesting picture of the American underground, the Nazi Party, and the Japanese Empire in the former United States. Check out the trailer below.

I read the prologue to this book recently and flenched inside at the thought. It kept nagging at me and I thought I would ask here on RP if anyone had read it, to find you had started a discussion about it. I'll try to get over my natural reflex of withdrawal at such an idea as what the world would look like if the Nazi's had won... What is your opinion of the book other than it's an interesting look at the American underground? What writing style did the author use? What is the author's voice? Is it scholarly?

I saw the series after one of my co-workers told me about the books. It was engaging and I enjoyed it.

Well, PVT Robert Gresham, I guess late is better than never! My wife and I are now 3 episodes in to the third and final season. It’s well worth it, as I’m sure you already know (don’t reveal the ending)!
Interestingly enough, the actual man in the high castle (Hawthorne Abendsen) is played by Stephen Root who also played Milton Waddams in the 1999 movie Office Space!

My wife and I have completed season three, PVT Robert Gresham. As Cpl Private RallyPoint Member stated, all three seasons were engaging and enjoyable. Naturally, the season three finale sets up season four nicely, which is apparently the last in the series and should be "epic".

Well, PVT Robert Gresham, my wife and I just completed watching the fourth and final season The Man in the High Castle. Although we enjoyed all four seasons, the final episode of the final season was rather blah and as far as we’re concerned, it just fizzled.
I also just took a look at a synopsis of Philip K. Dick‘s 1962 novel. The novel and the miniseries are totally dissimilar in my opinion.
