Have you read Soldier Girls and/or Ashley's War?

I've read both books and I'd say they are at opposite sides of the spectrum. Most of the women Veterans I've met have related experiences somewhere in the middle. Curious what your thoughts are if you've read either or both.

I am a Civil Affairs retiree and I am restricted in what I can say, but will say that the Women soldiers of Civil Affairs were the first teams, and the Taliban hated them, but no one noticed. Ashley's War is an excellent book.
