It stuck me as odd. I got 3 Anthrax shots in 2007 while in theater, which was mandatory. When I returned from my deployment. I was giving a DNA test because I didn't fit the norm for having blot clots. I was diagnoses as being a Factor V leiden Deficiency. Our helicopters were right across from the burn pit as well as our living area *I have already signed up for the registry and all that it entails with the VA* I had been having pain in my arm for quite awhile and had gone to my primary multiple times with no results. I was truly about to give up when I had a night where my arm went completely numb again and I had severe pain and it turned blue. Thankfully my doctor was out and I saw a different one and from that CT and ultrasound they found that I had blood clots from my armpit to my elbow as well as in my Aorta. I was hospitalized for almost 2 weeks. I had a thrombectomy and a bypass and was on a heparin drip. Unfortunately the bypass clotted either while I was in the hospital or directly after. I have an angiogram on Aug 3. They have ran every test imaginable. Nothing. No genetic reason why this should happen. They can Guess but no tests. Most think it was either from the burn pit or the shots we were given. So do not disregard this so fast as Inam currently fighting this battle still. It is very real.
Pic is of my left arm after having blood draws every 6 hours for heprin, all the blood draws they needed and all my IVs since my Right arm had the clots.Response by SPC Tami Jansen made Jul 12 at 2018 2:38 PM2018-07-12T14:38:24-04:002018-07-12T14:38:24-04:00SP5 T Whit3896533

I have received anthrax vaccine in the army and about 10 months later developed deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
