I've had a couple students try to use it for reports (for extra credit) on mathematicians. The way I bust them is they also have to explain one of their theorems.
The site can write the text, but they can't show how it works so the student doesn't get credit for the paper. You wouldn't believe all the ways students can cheat today. Unless I spend a ton more time with the inputs, the references it cites are pretty random so I don't see any time benefit to using it in that sense except maybe to find a direction to start in. I hear other instructors bemoaning the "extra work" required to "catch" someone using it to write their papers, if you have a thorough knowledge of the material, its pretty obvious. The same could be said of anyone using wikipedia to get their primary sources.

I recommend anyone writing anything to give it a try.
