The only exception was when we ran in or near base housing (which only ever once or twice). <br /><br />I remember getting to base housing and one of our Sgt's who had been a Sgt, more than once, jumped out and created, on the fly, one of the nastiest cadences I ever heard. The Battalion Commander was not amused. His XO came back and told him to stop, he didn't. You can imagine how that ended. A couple of Staff NCO's had to intervene.
