Parking is East of the highway. When you walk thru a tunnel under the highway on the left is McWay Falls a small, 80' water fall that is featured on many scenic post cards.

75 miles? miles south of Julia Pfieffer Park, 7 mile North of San Simeon and Hearst Castle is a great place to view Elephant Seals during the November - February mating season.

Lodging at The Navy's Post Graduate school offers breakfast, dining and an interesting pub that serves pub grub in the basement.

The Navy Lodge has open air hallways, nice rooms and coffee in the AM, a small NEX convenience store is w/in walking distance.

Defense Language Schools lodging is older and often used by families PCSing. I met some obvious SEALs there in 2001 in the little breakfast bar. They were obviously there to refresh some language skills before deploying to ?.

Casanova's is one restaurant we have frequented in Carmel.

Great area, take $ and time to enjoy.Response by CSM Charles Hayden made Feb 13 at 2016 7:44 PM2016-02-13T19:44:10-05:002016-02-13T19:44:10-05:002016-02-11T23:52:02-05:00
