Yes, I was offered a chance to go to Afghanistan without a weapon. At the time I was recovering from surgery and had and still have heart and spine issues. I declined the offer SSgt Alex Robinson

Yes, SSgt Alex Robinson, when I was 54, stressed and having chest pains from that stress. I declined a even more demanding position that would have enhanced my retirement! Great choice!

Yes. In the midst of job searches - and depending how urgent the need - we should all cast our nets wide enough to fit our particular skill set. We should, however, be very particular in which positions we actually accept. If you're going to dedicate 40 hours (+) each week to an occupation, you should ensure that the duties, co-workers, and reputation of the company all align with your morals, work ethic, and job satisfaction.
