Anyone who believes that the unemployment rate is 5% should check with the adult children living in their basements. If we used the formula and criteria used as recently as the Clinton Administration, the unemployment rate would exceed three times the reported rate. America is underemployed using part time jobs to cover the mess. Real earnings are down and still declining. Anyone running for POTUS should tell the truth. That's what the American people really need: A dose of truth. If we had newspapers and broadcasters that shared the truth, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in. Veterans and anyone else seeking a civilian job need the truth so they can plan accordingly.Response by CPT Jack Durish made Jan 8 at 2016 2:29 PM2016-01-08T14:29:12-05:002016-01-08T14:29:12-05:00PO2 Private RallyPoint Member1223470<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>SGT Veronica Fulgham - Blais, thanks for sharing this. It's a reflection of the devaluing of transferable skills and veterans in general within the labor force. If service members are separating with little to no education, no real plan and an expectation that their MOS training or military experience will carry them, they're in for a rude awakening.<br /><br />I think there needs to be an early emphasis by leaders on some level on post-service readiness. Even if that soldier retires, they're going to want an education or some skill certifications to get them past that first round of HR reviews.Response by SGT Jeremiah B. made Jan 8 at 2016 4:51 PM2016-01-08T16:51:23-05:002016-01-08T16:51:23-05:00CPT Aaron Kletzing1223821<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>What is BLS?Response by CPT Aaron Kletzing made Jan 8 at 2016 5:35 PM2016-01-08T17:35:18-05:002016-01-08T17:35:18-05:00Alan K.1224204<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Over 94 Million employable people are out of work in a Country with a population of roughly 300 million..........I never was good at math but that is 31%+ no matter what kid of math you use!
