PO1 Steven Kuhn 2126962 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div> Have we, as active duty or retired military, allowed this election to divide us as much as it has civilians who have never served together? 2016-12-02T11:51:37-05:00 PO1 Steven Kuhn 2126962 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div> Have we, as active duty or retired military, allowed this election to divide us as much as it has civilians who have never served together? 2016-12-02T11:51:37-05:00 2016-12-02T11:51:37-05:00 Cpl Justin Goolsby 2127026 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No... frankly most military members that I know are on the same page regarding the election. If anything, the main divide I saw was between civilians and military. It&#39;s every American regardless if they served or not. We are Americans first (Legal ones anyway) not the party we choose to be. That&#39;s the biggest problem: People are Democrats, Republicans, or Other first and that alienates people from being American.<br />It won&#39;t change any time soon. No speech or person no matter how great can unify every person. It will take a world-changing event like in some disaster movie and even then that may make it worse. Some folks voted one way or the other for personal reasons. I think the majority of folks who are losing their minds are 100% civilians, mis informed or just want to create havoc. I tend to attribute that to our &quot;Military Bearing&quot; and most of us probably had some level of respect taught at home as well. While I can&#39;t say what we are doing in our private lives, I will point out that RallyPoint does not come anywhere close to the level of vitriol posted on other websites such as FaceBook, Twitter, etc. Response by PO1 John Johnson made Dec 3 at 2016 10:09 AM 2016-12-03T10:09:37-05:00 2016-12-03T10:09:37-05:00 Cpl Carlos Fernandez 2143294 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I don&#39;t think so.
