Yes and no. I see Hillary and Trump are talking about macro issues, but most of their stuff is mud slinging. In two weeks the real campaign begins for the majority of folks who are going to start tuning in. Trump and Johnson are discussing military topics.

Goddess Mother YES!! However, it's what we as a nation want. I've said this before politics, done right, is BORING!! That's why many of us use C-SPAN as a sedative. We want pageantry, drama, suspense, a wicked queen, a knight in fool's gold armor and DAMNIT!! WE WILL BE ENTERTAINED! So what if we are a running gag on the international stage and many of our citizens will suffer for the decisions made by one or both of these candidates. At least we got to watch this train-wreck unfold in front of us with play-by-play commentary.

Yes, unfortunately. This race to the presidency has turned into a one on one battle in my eyes. I would much rather know what a potential POTUS is going to do about the major issues (ie. foreign policy, the war on terrorism, welfare, poverty, veterans) in our country and how they plan to get there rather than (as someone used previously) slinging hypothetical mud at each other in attempts to outshine the other. It's almost like each is using this strategy in a way to just stay alive in the race. I'm not sure if I am the only one but when a potential POTUS views it as more of a necessity to attack their opponent rather than focus on the bettering of the country, they lose credibility with me.
