Have any E-5, 35L used the Prior Service Business rules to return to Active Duty? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/have-any-e-5-35l-used-the-prior-service-business-rules-to-return-to-active-duty <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Good morning, this is my first post on RP so go easy on me. I am considering returning to active duty, and I wanted to see if there were any other E-5 35L that have used the Prior Service Business rules to return to active duty. What was your experience, how did you/the Army determine your duty station, any issues at MEPS, etc? I have spoken to a recruiter and he said everything would be a go if I started the process, but my wife is having some reservations, specifically with not knowing where we would be stationed until I went to sign papers. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! It could be anywhere to include Afghanistan (well, not your wife). If your wife isn&#39;t prepared for any assignment worldwide I suggest you don&#39;t do this. She should also know that you will likely PCS every 3 years. Do you have kids? That&#39;s also a concern. I grew up traveling the world (my father was Air Force) and my mom and I loved it, but it&#39;s not everyone&#39;s cup of tea. Disclose everything to you spouse first and ensure she&#39;s OK with it or be prepared for a divorce down the road. The states thought owning combat arms was sexier than combat support. They won the argument. Special Forces in the reserves folded up at the end of FY 94 - I was in 12th SF Group. I have thought of this a few times since being out here. Right now unless the Mos'es you can return to are slim but CI maybe doable but how long have you been away from the program?
