Has your unit tried to ban service members from visiting certain FB pages and other sites?

How would this even be controlled or supervised? Post inappropriate pictures or making disparaging comments online is one thing but banning SMs from particular sites is another. A particular unit of which will remain unnamed highly encouraged their SMs not to "like" or comment anything on MPWTFFB which stands for Military Police What the F*&k Moments Face Book. On this particular FB page, they have allegedly displayed pictures from a newly opened crime scene which was a big no-no and probably a federal crime. So has this ever happened at a unit you have been in?

That could be a tough situation, and I am not sure how you'd control it.

I will try to address the (big picture) logic from a leadership perspective, to hopefully make it make sense. You aren't responsible for what others post however, you do have a choice with whom you associate/like. We might not like that logic but I am sure it makes more sense from that lens.

My unit also had some stuff posted about it within hours on MPWTF momments. No one was banned from posting on there, but the whole unit did get a very strong talking to from the 1SG on what is proper conduct as a Soldier, and Army Values etc.
