My job as been impacted insofar as I telework now; which was something I wasn't a big fan of before, but since the other option is NOT WORKING AT ALL, I'm starting to warm up to it. It's a heck of a good thing--lucky perhaps--on a personal level I have that option when many don't; and on a national level that we live in an age when technology enables many people to be able to work remotely that simply never existed in decades past.

Thankfully no I have not been impacted. I am the plant manager of a lumber mill and we are very busy right now. Almost more than the norm. There are a lot of orders going out to the home center stores. So as long as all of you keep doing all your home projects while your off, I can stay busy. Thanks

No, thankfully. My wife is a Nurse, we both work in COVID 19 positive facilities. The actual impact has been an increase in hours due to being short staffed. In my case, today will be my 15th work day in a row. The tax man loves me...LOL

You needed a 4th option so I had to choose #3 as a default. I lost 2/3's of my men to Involuntary layoff, My job is sort of shut down but we have a caretaker crew, me included that does PMCS for the grounds, 12 Acres 16 buildings in a city. With 4 guys you would think it would be easy, its not. No Overtime, no shift coverage fo anyone that calls out sick (Regular sick). I have been fortunate that I can commute to my job and have PPE. Overall I am in a good place financially with Army retirement pay and my work pay for now but that can change anyway now.

Slightly. Grateful to work in the healthcare industry so I am able to work however, I have been put on a part time schedule until further notice. So I’m not allowed to make over 30 hours in one week. Fortunately I do have service connected disabilities and I am school, hopefully those supplement.

I have had to change where I work, now I work at home from a computer. I had to make changes for much of what was scheduled, and planned to be done at the facility. But at least most of those I work with are still working.

I am "essential." I am working MORE this last month and a half. However my wife (and ALL of her coworkers) was sent home at the beginning of March and paid for 15 hours a week. That lasted until a week ago, when her entire store was laid off.

It has been impacted only to the extent that I am considered essential and must come into work. (Telework is not an option for my job.) And since I work in a VA hospital, it is recommended that I wear a mask in all common areas. I have to walk through the Urgent Care waiting area to get to my office.

I work for a municipality and as far as I know there have been no job losses or pay/benefit reductions within our organization. Our procedures & operations have changed, but no personnel issues that I'm aware of, other than the State shut down all the prison inmate work crews.

Technically no I haven’t been impacted I’m deemed essential. I work for our cities street maintenance department. What has impacted our crews is we are still running on our winter shift schedule. In the winter we divided our people of 70 individuals into crews covering 24/7 working four tens. There is some grumbling because most would rather be back to our summer day’s schedule but they understand what’s best for everyone’s health. Personally I’m just happy to be still working and receiving a paycheck. My wife and I have also been donating money to our local food back to hopefully help a little to those suffering right now. Lucky both my son’s family are also working. My youngest son is a respiratory therapist in a rural hospital and is deemed essential and I worry about him all the time. Fortunately they only have two confirmed cases in their county with one suspicious case (waiting for results). My oldest son SFC Steven Borders who is now an Army reservist and works for the Army as a civilian works from home. The last thing I would like to add is to all of you. Stay strong we are all in this together. God Bless brothers and sister.

I've been furloughed for 90 days - however I jumped on an IARPA project doing intelligence analysis work probono as the research is related to current COVID-19 pandemic. I'm also working to get certified in python programming in the down time - taking advantage of free time. Thankful for having the financial resources to be able to take some time off - I know not everyone can just sit this out. Looking forward to getting back to work to help the economy recover.

Covid-19 has spread across the globe like no other wildfire we know or any tornado, hurricane and typhoon we know about. India has been under a national Lockdown, except for essential services, since 20 March 2020. This Lockdown might open on 3 May 2020. Some businesses might reopen earlier on 20 April 2020 to restart the economy.

Based on the current situation, our Board of Investors took an uncalculated approach to reducing losses during Lockdown by laying off critical staff that will be necessary to restore operational efficiency and stability once the Lockdown is lifted. As Business Leader, the Board directed me and the vertical heads to collect only base pay for the Lockdown period or tender resignation. Two-thirds of our salaries are in variable allowances, since the organization gets a tax cut on such business expenses in India. So; my take home for this Lockdown period will be under $1000.00 only. If the Lockdown period is extended again then, we might be told not to take pay or resign. Let's see what happens next.

Although the Prime Minister of India Narender Modi has told all employers not to fire or layoff employees during this Lockdown period, which is tough times across the globe, many businesses are finding it impossible to sustain overheads. I would have taken a loan, if necessary to tie over ends through these troubled times; however, I would never even contemplate inconveniencing my own staff or leaders. At worst, I would not take pay for sixty days and reduce leader salaries that can be recovered over time to make sure business as usual upon lifting of the Lockdown here. I am against causing inconvenience to our talented Team; firing or laying off talent will be my very last resort, if I ever reach that decision. I am all for sustainence of the Team and the Talent (I-CARE).

My only changes have been to not drive to a different location 2 or 3 times a week.
I have been put on straight 40 hour week, used to be Long days on Tuesday and Thursday (10 hours plus travel to second location) then had a short day on Friday to keep it down to 40 hours. Love the gas savings (close to a tank of gas every two weeks saved).
My wife is working about 12 hours less each week though.

Wow, what a stark difference in answers, no grey area here? Such as Yes, very slight impact? Or perhaps a not much option? Also, don't believe the FULL STOP business. Some companies are reporting record earnings for the first quarter which ended March 31st. Understood unemployment is very high primarily in the service sector but a lot of manufacturing is still up and running and some plants are already fully automated with only a skeleton human crew to maintain the plant. You can't stop a $20 trillion economy on a dime even if POTUS orders it. My guess is we are still at least at 50% or slightly higher. While I realize that is still painful and heavily hits service sector, it is far cry from a FULL STOP. What that all means to me is if recovery happens in at least the next 3-4 months, we should recover OK and there is not going to be a "Great Depression" as some are running around stating.

Yes. I worked for an independently owned pet supply store and after the initial buying frenzy business has slowed considerably. My wife is in health care working primarily with geriatric patients and was worried that I would be more susceptible to bringing the virus home from working in a retail environment with little to no protective protocols; as such I began a leave of absence on 1 April. On 16 April I informed the owner that I would not be coming back to work in May or June as anticipated; I wanted her to have plenty of notice to find a replacement for when business picked back up. Effectively, I am now retired! Once this pandemic is over I will either do some part time or volunteer work; until then, lots to do around the house and yard!

1. I am a retired Naval Officer with a 23 year pension.
2. I am the retired County Sheriff (2nd Career) with an 18 year pension.
3. I am well over 65 and get Social Security (the money I paid into it since I was 16 years old)
4. I live on a sizable piece of property that generates income for me.

Yes, in a couple of ways. Lots of threats to cut hours (even though the business has seen an increase in media and revenue (they make a testing assay for COVID)) and this whole work from Home thing is a mess. I need an office.

I'm also in the middle of looking to go back to the Defense world via contracting or Federal, so that process is even more convoluted.

Yes! First it was the trumps immigration and visa statements and policy plus fear of gun violence in schools that limited the number of foreign students with
whom I work. That was in the fall. Some had difficulties getting their student visas renewed in their home countries and others, the parents were just plain fearful of the school atmosphere here in America and started sending their kids to Australia, England and Canada who benefited greatly from Trump policies. When the flu epidemic hit, the schools like work with shut down, foreign students went home or into quarantine so the students that I get in the late winter and spring all disappeared so I am out of business as an educational consultant. Besides, the IRS seems to have miss spelled my name in their system so I did not get my refund check nor did I get my economic stimulus check. Thank you US government.

No. I go to work every day, business as usual. Can't inspect work done on Jets from home. The wife is telework though, uggg I really do not like that, as it seems she has more time to find Honey do stuff for me to do.

I'm a paraprofessional and I work with intensive needs students at a high school. It's difficult to assist them via zoom meetings.

I am totally retired due to heath reasons. If I was still working I would be in the thick of it all... My last civilian employment was as a midnight shift hospital chaplain in a level one trauma center in a major metropolitan city.

Yes!!! since I have contracted COVID-19 I run even slower than before. Yesterday I had to give myself an open chest heart message durning the run. I have been forced to live in a van down by the river.

Nope, retired and my new job is getting online and making stupid comments about everything and anything. My daughter is a hair dresser. She gets $200/week for unemployment from the government and $600/week from the business owner. That is a lot of financial pressure on the business owner.

Oil patch directional drilling. Covid locked down china...oil sat in tankers. Then russia and the saudis had there spat and oil dropped like a rock. Over 400 rigs have been stacked out.

My job has slowed down as it involves direct cyber security assessment of a commuter railroad. The railroad is in a state with strict lockdown so travel there and walking the track is not allowed.

I was fired from my federal job due to my disabilities (mainly PTSD). Management pushed some kids made up allegations No witnesses, no counselling statements, no evidence whatsoever but they terminated me for misconduct, first offense. I got a lawyer and she was shocked

I lost a job in an industry that been in for 28 years. It is probably been impacted in a way that gonna make recovery very difficult to recover and slow at best. So at the age of 50 I'm having to.look elsewhere
