Has the Ranger department lost any credibility since the change in standards?

I know this is a sensitive and hot button topic since the graduation of females? The department has gone dark since the first females GRADUATED.

I think that the military as a whole has made the conscious decision to undermine standards across the board in order to make people 'feel' better. It is sad to think that such storied groups such as the Rangers would allow for the same poinson to infect their ranks but it has.

MAJ Thomas Person "the department has gone dark..." was the RTB ever 'illuminated'? Every once in a while they issue a statement, usually pursuant to a training death or injury of students in the course, but prior to the admission of female students, they were never a PAO messaging engine.

I was an RI up at mountains when the first two females graduated. We did not lower our standards.
In preparation for them coming we sat down and looked at the current standards, why we had that standard, and why we needed to continue to enforce those standards. We sent this analysis to BDE.
As far as going dark, ARTB is still there and is still answering FOIA requests. People want to bitch that the Observation Reports (OR) were destroyed after the class graduated, but that is as per SOP. All information about grades for each student from the class are recorded on the green card and filed in the vault. Making the OR's a waste of space.
To any other claims of standards being violated the BDE OPS SGM wrote an article that debunked the falsehoods shortly after the females graduated.

No amount of supporting bull shit is going to convince me the women were held to the same standards. I know too many people that know people that were there. There was command influence to get at least a few women tabbed. The same standards are still there but some things are not observed or reported for career sake.
