I've noticed that even on here and facebook and the news that when people talk about the president they call him Barack, or Obama, or Potus I hardly hear anyone call him President Obama now when President Bush was in office I never heard anyone call him George or anything like that. It doesn't matter to me who the president is I was always taught that in the military we respect the president but lately it hasn't been happening. Is there a specific reason that has gone away? Has respect for the president gone away from the military? 2015-04-14T09:37:18-04:00 SGT(P) Private RallyPoint Member 590962

I have a question not trying to start an argument or get political but I was just wondering something. Or...religion, The same mentality you have I believe. I hear people talking about it and squash it where it is. 2 cents...lol Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 14 at 2015 10:07 AM 2015-04-14T10:07:52-04:00 2015-04-14T10:07:52-04:00 Capt Jeff S. 648070

When you never take the time to vet yourself properly to the voting public and ignore the popular will of the people who want you to work with Congress and uphold the Constitution... AND! When you, after promising more transparency in gov't become the least transparent Administration and routinely lie to the American public, don't expect the public to respond favorably.

Obama has the lamestream media in his pocket. They refuse to report stories critical of the Obama Administration and instead do a lot of damage controlling for him. How would the press have treated G.W. if he had done the things Obama has done? Can you imagine G.W. saying, "The first time I heard about this is when I saw it on the news." ??? Do you really expect the public to continually look the other way and give Obama the benefit of the doubt every time something isn't right. The Obama Administration, which campaigned on the failures of the Bush Administration, has a worse record in just about every category one could judge an Administration by:

* Race relations - Have hit new lows. Things are as bad as they were in the 60's. Obama was supposed to be a uniter and instead has divided this country along race, class and gender. He accuses those who question his qualifications for office and eligibility of being racist, but refuses to prosecute groups of individuals based on their race. It's not social justice when the laws aren't applied equally to all persons and when one group of people is elevated at the expense of another.

* Unemployment - UP. Blacks and minorities, and the Middle Class have fared worse under Obama's tenure.

* Entitlements - UP. More Americans receive Gov't assistance now than when Obama entered office. Those that fare the best are those that contribute the least. The success of an Administration is gauged by how many FEWER people need to be on such programs, not how many more people can be made dependent on Government for assistance.

* Standard of Living - DOWN. American's are not as well to do as they were when Obama entered office.

* Healthcare - MIXED. Fewer people have benefitted than have been hurt by Obamacare, which was sold to the American public as not being a tax, and then sold to the Supreme Court as a tax. Most people are choosing to avoid buying Health Insurance and instead are paying the penalties. The majority of Americans opposed the passage of this bill, but it was railroaded through Congress anyway.

* National Debt - Added more than G.W. did in less than 1/2 the time, yet he called Bush's spending "irresponsible" and "unpatriotic." So what does that make him?

* Foreign Policy - A JOKE. Insults our allies and appeases our enemies. NOBODY trusts Obama at his word.

It should come as no surprise that people aren't keen on calling this guy their President when the only thing Obama is interested in is advancing his own personal agenda and trying to secure a legacy for himself. He thinks he is one of America's greatest Presidents -- yet he was never even qualified to become President. IF Obama was qualified, he would not have delayed and obfuscated before producing computer generated forged documents establishing his eligibility -- four years after the fact!!! Innocent people don't obfuscate and delay when asked to present evidence. They produce it right away so that there would be no question regarding authenticity; they don't hide behind technicalities... FWIW. Afterall as I stated here, it seems that his supporters whine and cry over the perceived disrespect. BUT the respect of President Trump is non-existent. Come back whiners. Please.
