If it was in your sternum or rib cage it can get pretty serious but if it were actually in your pecs or any other muscle you probably just strained it from lack of stretching or overworking. In either case you can rest a couple days and try again at a lighter weight if it still hurts or is at a point you can&#39;t push past definitely see a medic or Doctor. I never want to see anything like that again. Do you see any redness around your shoulder/chest? Otherwise, if could very well just be an air pocket. Although that&#39;s not suppose to be painful.
