Has anyone tried or have joined Customs and Border Protection after the military?

I have applied for both Customs Officer and Border Patrol agent. I was wondering if anyone else has applied and have been hired. How long is the process? Which do you think is better. Thanks

I interviewed with ICE and one of the first questions I was asked was, "how old are you?" The interview was on the day of my 38th birthday and I was automatically disqualified (because of my age). The interview seem to take a "I think were done here." Never mind the fact that I was born and raised in a border town. Speak Spanish fluently, have a degree, a TS, and a retired Green Beret. Oh well their loss.

I worked for the 42nd customs group and Inspected house hold stuff going back state side from Germany I applied a couple times no Luck but I would try doesn't hurt good luck.

Yes. I got out in 09. Finished my BAS and got picked up by USBP right away. My process took about 10 months. I'd rather go BP for sure.
