Has anyone re-entered the military? If so, how long did the process take to get approved and receive a report date to MEPS?

I have been in contact with a recruiter. I have turned in an application to re enter the army. I just wanted to know if anyone has been through this process and how long did it take to get approved and the date to meps?

I have been trying.... The guys over at http://www.barracks_lawyers/E4_mafia.com said never listen to the idiots who tell you your RE code means you cant enlist again...Everything has a waiver. My RE code 4R seems to be a tough one though...It causes recruiters to giggle it seems, no waiver yet...So Im trying a different branch of the Army next year....Talking with the recruiter now..https://www.salvationarmyusa.org>

This message has been brought to you by a procrastinating former Army NCO who is working diligently to not go back into the shop and get some work done. It is satire and likely not all the funny, no animals were harmed or killed, but 5 dogs were petted and fed a treat during the creation of this message. Use caution while reading, Teen pregnancy is a leading cause of divorce...come to think of it, a Teen pregnancy in my case would be a likely cause of my death, then divorce (Can she file after she has smothered me in my sleep?)

Waivers can take months and the re-enlistment rules are changing constantly. Trust your recruiter and follow up with him/her weekly. Be patient with the process. Paperwork takes time

It depends. Are you a waiver case or a clean enlistment? If you’re a waiver case it’ll take a while longer than if not.

Nope. I just feel like my recruiter is very......slow moving to say the least. My packet FINALLY made it to BN OPS this morning. I assume that OPS is the approval authority so I can finally do my phys and then RE code waiver and rank eligibility... I am hoping to be done by 10 July... that is when this process started

That's insane. Maybe it's for the better though. They usually loosen things up a little in the 4Q of the FY if they haven't met their goals yet.

Seems to be a lot of "down time" for Leader Zone and Recruiter Zone is what I have been told... not real sure how true or not true that is. I know there was a system migration on 30 May but after that I have no idea. Here's to hoping I am signed and gone by 30 July.
