Has anyone paid to have their ASUs set up? I can't find anything online, so was it done well and where did you have it done?

A if you want to pay to get your ASU's done, I don't think you're ready for the board none the less be. NCO.

When the people do it they always jack it up. Invest your time in doing it yourself and doing it right. Thats the best way. And at a board youll have no excuse why it was messed up.

Many have paid and there are a lot of alterations shops that do it as well. HOWEVER, I am flabbergasted as to why Soldiers do this. How are you supposed to learn how everything goes on the uniform properly? You are basically letting a civilian set up a military uniform. I don't know how many times in a board and Soldier could not tell me the proper way some of the items on the uniform where supposed to go. Your uniform is a walking billboard of your career and our Army. Be proud and take the time and attention to detail to get it right. When I ask Soldiers what is the proper name for the combat strips about 10% know the answer. Also, if they know the answer they can't explain why it’s called that - hint not combat strips. Again, be proud of your uniform and know every inch of it and the reason for things being that way. Plus what SGT Alexander Polson said is pretty much is my experience as well dealing with Soldiers who had it done.
