Has anyone laid eyes on any regulations reguarding the ACU scrub top?

We had a section add some embroidery above the pocket along with the name of the section. Is this permitted according to the regs? The NCOIC had permission and the artwork approved beforehand by our CO.

I don't know about the Army. In the AF, the Scrub top is never discussed. It would be specifically identified as a duty/workplace uniform (not to be worn outside the hospital). The only exception would be during fire/fire drill. It would be a local policy for wear. In some places I have been, you are only authroized to wear the scribs that the unit provides (sometimes facilty colored, sometimes color by department). The use of a "uniform patterned" scrub top with embroidery would probably be reserved for local policy. I think it would be good, with the only concern being who does the laundry? and can the facility guarentee personal hygeine standards are high enough at home to allow home washing? Or is this simply a method used to allow taking off the ABU/ACU top to protect it from hospital splatter?

I was issued several scrub tops in Iraq several years ago. They now sit in a tuff box in my storage. Last time I tried to use them, they didn't just say no, they said heck no. It is outside of AR 670-1.
