I think that there are two hard facts about ANY form of insurance. 1. Hopefully one will never need to use their insurance, if the time comes to use insurance something bad has occurred. 2. You don't know how much insurance or how good your insurance is until the time comes to use it. I am a USCCA member, and I hope I never come to a situation where I have to use it. I would not continue to have it if I didn't think it was worthwhile. In this day and age with one political side wanting to take away everything down to a squirt gun, and the other side wanting the wild west, the best thing an individual can do is have something to cover their ass when disaster strikes. I would call the need to discharge a firearm in self defense a disaster. It means that a situation has devolved so much that the person is forced to choose between their life, or another innocent life, and that of a violent armed attacker. Nobody wants to be in that situation, but it is better to have someone watching your back should happen than not. That is what USCCA, NRA Carry Guard, or any of the others are for.
