But one woman is now trying hard to get our food safer so if we keep trying maybe some of the good ones will have the courage to step forward and try harder what do you think?

This is what I wrote in to Senator Al Franken, They do know me already from many petitions to keep guns and more so I contact them on many subjects that do concern us all. But this one mainly would be a great help on us disabled veterans from all the travel and wear and tear on what we do have left of our bodies and lives. Please right your senators about the new laws they are trying to help us with. Many of us are a must be seen now not in a 48 hour notice with the card however the 48hrs is better then months but collapsed 3 times in a week and half and had to go to emergency and without a for warning to the va they would not cover it. I had pushed them into helping us by saying they spend alot of tax dollars on milage and hotels and then said how it wore on us. But they think money first most of the time. lol...But our senator is trying so lets go there and tell him what he needs to hear from us. I copied and pasted mine to him. thanks all. IF we stand united in anything we set out to do it will help win the battle.
Dear Senator Al Franken, Many of us disabled veterans like to be out of the city lifestyle not only better for us mentally but better for the public as well. The Choice program was a good idea because travel can really put a tole on our bodies. But I was informed that with my conditions more times for me are I drop now and need help now and can not wait to give the Choice card people a 48 hr notice . How can I call them 48 hrs ahead and say oh I am going to go into a heart attack or my health is going to knock me down like that and I will need an ambulance or to see a doctor in 48 hrs. WE have no control over when we will need the help. So can you please fix the choice card to be used like any insurance card? My body can not take the long doctor rides but my mind can not take the big towns or cities.
I do hope that you received my letter about safe affordable food I may have forgot to sign it if so please send it back and I will memory trouble part of VA so please forgive it. thank you, sincerely violetResponse by PV2 Violet Case made Mar 22 at 2015 2:23 AM2015-03-22T02:23:58-04:002015-03-22T02:23:58-04:00SFC Boots Attaway545264

I am very wary about anything Al Frankens has a part of. Sweeping omnibus legislation like the Affordable Health Care Act, always cause more damage than good. Thus, I'd be inclined to support it (regardless of the fact that Al Franken is a sponsor), but I wouldn't expect much to come from it.

Ultimately, if passed and implemented, it would most likely remove one blockage only to create the illusion of progress until the flood of claims met the next blockage - a bureaucratic one. Ultimately, a flood of claims, even if it successfully navigated all the various impediments that now exist, would run up against the same problem that all such problems face - a greatly diminished American economy simply can't afford all the promises that have been made to garner votes for incumbents.
