Make sure you validate the "Catch 22" when looking at Mission 22 or any other charity. There're so many out there but I'd stick with the ones that have a high percentage of resources actually going to the Vet. I said percentage, not quantity. There're a lot of small outfits that do a great local job. Check out Mike Rowe's Returning the Favor which has a story of a local guy pitching in and hosting motorcycle rebuilds. Mission 22 is not rated on Charity Navigator, so that's a huge red flag.

Yes they are a verified page on FB and the founder has a very compelling story about her own husband's suicide.

We did a charity car rally for them last year, raising $20,000. They had a representative with us all weekend. It is a great charity and well run.

I searched through several sites and the ElderHeart company, the parent ("ElderHeart Inc." or EIN Number 46-2750726) it seems to be primarily involved in creating monuments to/for/about veterans.
