I just found out that due to my military status, I am exempt from state taxes. This would mean that I did not receive the full return on my 2013-2015 state tax returns. I was able to get the full return for my 2016 returns and log into MyPay and place myself in an "exempt" status.

**Update, it looks like I'd need to submit a 1040X. Recommend you complete it for 2013, 2014 and 2015 ASAP. Wait till the due date to file your 2016 Form 1040 or you will lose out on the potential 2013 refund. Amending state income tax returns is usually similar. Be aware that the states will report any refunds to the IRS which will increase your federal taxes if you itemized in those years.Response by PO1 Tony Holland made Feb 8 at 2017 5:20 AM2017-02-08T05:20:55-05:002017-02-08T05:20:55-05:00MSG Brad Sand2322288

File an amended tax form.
