Has anyone ever done any river diving? And prospecting?

I have spent a little bit of time in rivers, but mainly training for UW search and rescue...think drift dive on steroids...depending on the current...normally not a big thing for recreational divers because not a whole lot to see because current, visibility and depth varying all over the place.

I have dived a number of springs but that's really not what I think you mean.

Did 6 years as a State Police Diver. Lots of river dives looking for evidence, bodies, and just playing around. Some were great some were not so much fun in conditions we should not have been diving in.
