Has anyone ever been separated for a perforated eardrum during BCT/BMT/RTC?

I am looking for information on if someone could be discharged for it and curious if anyone has been or could be medically discharged for a "Perforated Eardrum?"

If your MOS physical requirements do not require a 1 in the H of the PULHES; then, you could remain on Active Duty. At least that’s what the determining factors were when I was in the Army. I had a P3 profile in the L; however, I was ADMIN and I stayed in until I requested a Medical Discharge

You'll have to be more specific about why. Sure, someone "could" be separated for that, or shin splints, or being gay, or sleepwalking or any other number of things. What is the underlying problem you're trying to solve?

I knew a guy who complained about it long enough to get discharged, yeah. Can’t say any of us respected him for it though. Most doctors will tell you that it can heal with time, as mine did. Perforations are less serious than other ear related injuries from what I understand. The real issue here appears to be looking for a reason to quit. There’s no happiness at the end of that road.
