Has anyone else been to a civilian job fair and noticed at how much more prepared you were for the job fair than most of the others?

I think it's fair to say that veterans tend to be better prepared for nearly everything. It's part of the military culture.

I'm not trying to brag, but wanted to showcase one thing that I believe we are trained well in thanks to our time in uniform. I went to a local job fair and folks were dressed like they just woke up and had lounge pants on, were unshaven and looked sloppy. I felt like I was in the bar scene on Star Wars. It was then that I realized how much attention to detail we were made to do.

I think in-person military boards help prepare you for job interviews compared to civilians.
