Has anybody taken part in the 3M lawsuit regarding the ear plugs? If there is a settlement awarded, will it effect a disability rating?

I have hearing loss and tinnitus, and I fit the profile that the commercials I’ve seen on TV. Just wondering if anybody has looked into this lawsuit and how it will (or won’t) effect a VA disability rating.

I contacted a large law office in my state. According to what I was told you would have to have hearing test results that show a significant loss in a relative short period of time. They tried to get me to sign a power of attorney to get my medical records but I passed.
The other aspect is that I kept getting 3-4x daily phone calls from their "branch offices" for 3 months.

It is a civil litigation. Does not affect your VA disability rating (completely separate).
