How would you recommend writing an evaluation of someone from another branch to use wording that would best reflects their performance? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/has-any-combined-joint-task-force-cjtf-members-experienced-an-issue-with-another-service-evaluations <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was assigned to the J-3 for a CJTF and was required to contribute to USN/USMC &quot;FITREPS, Chief EVALS&quot; etc. usually for E-6, 7, 8&#39;s. I consulted with that service&#39;s Sr NCO&#39;s for wording that would genuinely reflect the service member&#39;s performance in my view. As an Army E-9, I was familiar with our bullet point lingo that would reflect their actual end of cycle or tour performance. Has anyone experienced language in their NCOER/FITREP&#39;s that was outside of their scope or didn&#39;t make sense to their report? Perhaps also check-in with J1 Evaluations Branch on &quot;how to&quot; for your CJTF. General avoidance of acronyms was also useful. Just my 2 cents. Are you being designated as a Trusted Assistant, RS, or RO. MCO P1610.7 is not very direct and leaves a lot of room for personal interpretation when evaluating the leadership traits, and more often than not it becomes a game of maintaining the average for the RS. if you are providing input i would suggest giving honest evaluations of the graded leadership traits and abilities. Being a joint command the Section I will have a few required statements. if you would like i can send a copy of my last section I, which is the only written out section of the Marine Fitrep.
