Dad is buying dad a new campaign hat for my Boy Scout Leader dress uniform. I can't wait to see the surprise on my face when my kids give it to me!!

Like SGT Private RallyPoint Member, I'll be in the middle of my annual training at Fort Indiantown Gap. Though, when I get back I plan on buying myself a gift. Either an FNX-45 or an SIG P320, or I may something shiny in the display cases and go in a totally different direction. Either way I'm buying another gun.

Both my girls have softball tournaments through the Fathers' Day weekend. I can watch a triple-header on both Saturday and Sunday. Maybe my wife will pack me a pb&j so I won't have to get out of my lawn chair...(?)

Since Father's Day falls on a Sunday, I will go be doing what I usually do on Sunday mornings after my normal daily morning medicine routine. I will serve as an usher captain at the first church service and help out during the second service. The church usually does something special for fathers however it is usually focused on the physically healthy fathers with quick responses required - my cane will most likely ensure that I sit out the competitions.
After church I will go out to eat with my wife and a few friends at a local restaurant. I plan on having a Philly cheese-steak that afternoon else I will have on the previous day at Jersey Mike's which is a chain restaurant that serves a great cheese-steak almost as good as Pat's Steaks and Ginos do in South Philly.
I hope to be able to talk to most of 4 adult sons - two are relatively local and the other 2 are in other parts of the country. I expect to receive a few fathers day cards.
One of my sons is serving a 35 year sentence at Leavenworth for crimes he did not commit after his last deployment with 3rd Bn /75th Ranger Regiment back in 2011. He is taking his sentence as well as can be expected and is completing 2 BA degrees. His cards tend to arrive late because of the prison mail review process.
