Got laid off a few months back. Decided to start an MSP business but have absolutely no idea how to market myself. Any ideas?

Hire me if it involves Linux and VPS
Get listed on veteranownedbusiness.com
Paid ads
Use podcasters, YouTubers, and other popular people/organizations to help spread the word.

If you need any help in the way of sometimes "Free" Advertising. Don't hesitate to ask. I'm on Several Forums and I have a few of my own pages and I have no problem letting folks know about a Veterans Business.

Are you back in your hometown? If so, post it on Facebook for beginners, and ask your friends to help promote your business to friends. It's a small early start, but it can make a difference.

Any questions that pop into your head, make videos on the solution. Post said videos on your website/youtube to promote your business. Make business cards, wherever you go and hear about people complaining about IT problems, hand them your card. If you go to a small business that has WiFi, look for issues (no passwords, SSID broadcasting, overlapping channels with neighbors) and let them know you could fix it. Don't be stingy and offer your services for free at times (being a helpful neighbor/helping out at a local shop)

Offer your services for free for a short period of time. I run a vinyl cutting business on the side and word of mouth gets around FAST. Craigslist is also a GREAT place, Yelp, Google, make a website with a business email, and start doing cold emails!
