Good Morning RP. Have you been affected by the love a Dog could give?

I've been looking at myself and things that have been surrounding me and trying to implement some change to make each day better than yesterday. While this takes considerable effort, the one thing I've noticed that has helped have been dogs. I remember even in therapy when the service dogs came in, I could be in the worst mood and the dog would melt it away. I also remember as a MP I could volunteer to "catch" the working dogs. Even then they were therapeutic although painful if they bit past the wrap or pro gear. If you have a dog post a pic here. Might brighten up someones day. If you've been impacted by a dog tell us how. I follow this dog on FB because he's just amazing to see.

Every time Im home, leave, return, think about leaving, walk out the door and not leave but return inside.
10 sec outside without them is handled the same as 12 months.|
I like dogs more than most people, and I love my family more than anything.. Protect them From anything.. Our pups, are family.

I think it has been studied and found that children who had disabilities or other ailments, that when they pet a dog, their stress was reduced significantly. As for adults, I don't doubt at all that dogs have similar benefits.

My Chocolate Labrador Ben. I'm his whole world and I like him too. When I'm having a bad day or fighting with my wife, he leans his whole body weight against me and forces me to pet him.

Always love the pups. Never could part with any dog we've brought home. Dogs hold a special place in our hearts.

Growing up my family had a (mostly) Border Collie we named Bud. Although he was loyal to the entire family, he seemed to have an intense loyalty to me. Being a cow dog, he was my dad's partner whenever we had cowboy work to do. Otherwise he was by my side. Despite being one of the toughest dogs I have ever been around, it was cancer that took him away. Because of him, if I ever get a dog, it has to be a border collie.

My current service dog, Caesar, is a black lab, he's been in training for a year now, goes with me to the VA as well as out in public ... my previous service dog, Buster, was a dachshund, we were together almost 12 years before medical issues took him across the rainbow bridge. The photo of him with the black bandanna, was with me at the VA ER for 14 hours when I got ambulanced in. He rode with me in the ambulance, and except for a couple of walks with a volunteer, and while I was getting a CT scan, he was with me the entire time. My dad was a K9 handler & trainer in the Air Force. RIP Dad, and Buster. Til we meet again. Thank you Caesar for being such a wonderful successor service dog.

Oh, yeah. My wife got a crazy little Maltese Katharine had been abused for his first two years shortly before we started our full time RV life. Now going on 5 years, Smedley Butler is my buddy, constant source of laughter and still wildly frantic with joy when we open to door upon coming home. Most “Marine” dogs may be called Chesty, but I figured he looks nothing like a bulldog, so I named him for one of our other most famous: Smedley Darlington Butler, two time MOH recipient. Smedley has turned out to be the perfect name for our little fuzzball.

Dogs are capable of so much! Emotional support is what my Boxer is for me! He hasn’t been ‘officially’ trained or certified, but he knows me! He is in tune with my moods and feelings. I talk to him as if he were human. He understands and his bark scares anyone who has a fear of dogs! He is a wonderful companion and he is a rescue; however I think we rescued each other!
