Good, Bad, or none, What kind of memories does this video stir from Boot Camp?2015-11-04T17:12:22-05:002015-11-04T17:12:22-05:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member1088281<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>While I can't see the video at work, I can certainly regale what my first 2 hours of BCT was. It involved a company wide CIF issue shake-down in the gym. We went item by item. In one hand was the duffle. In the other, was what ever item we had to find. Then once we were checked that we found the right item we were to place it in the bag and then hold the bag (with only one hand) in the air until the next item was called. Did I mention that we had to go one item at a time? And at no time was any DS NOT yelling.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 4 at 2015 5:19 PM2015-11-04T17:19:48-05:002015-11-04T17:19:48-05:00Sgt Spencer Sikder1088297<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Some memories, but mine was a bit different. Hell, we can all recall now that the initial shock of the Receiving Barracks pale in comparison to what awaited us upon arrival at our Training Companies for what has become known as 'Forming'. It is from the blurs of this controlled chaos that the the eternal emotion of the Marine will emerge on graduation day; and the memories of boot camp will live forever.Response by Cpl Joe Italiano made Nov 5 at 2015 1:34 PM2015-11-05T13:34:16-05:002015-11-05T13:34:16-05:00LCpl Christopher Bell1090467<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Honestly. Looking back. I really enjoyed Boot Camp. The night before we walked across the parade deck to earn our EGA's. My D.I. told us all "No matter what you do in life. You will always be a U.S. Marine. This is such a great thing to have earned. But do not make it your greatest achievement in your life" That really spoke to me. I really took to heart. A few years later I ran into my D.I. out in the fleet. I told the Gunny how his words of inspiration and motivation had such a big impact on how I look at and will perceive life going into the future. He looked at me and laughed and said "That is the same line of sh*t I gave every Platoon on Graduation Night"Response by LCpl Christopher Bell made Nov 5 at 2015 3:50 PM2015-11-05T15:50:01-05:002015-11-05T15:50:01-05:001SG Jack Crutcher1090903<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I will never forget the yellow foot prints at Paris Island South Carolina, one way in, one way out.
