It's not "global warming" or "global cooling" per se, but it's a dramatic change in world climates from their "norm." Is it bad? Yes. It's bad. If things continue as they are (which they very well may not because of increased solar and wind power and electric vehicles), then the weather patterns around the world will continue to change and could change the "norm" of weather in certain areas. Tornadoes in Florida in January are not normal. Eventually, if left unchecked, certain parts of the planet may become uninhabitable and people will move. At some point, the planet becomes unlivable for humans and we die off - it's happened to many species before us and it will happen to many species after we are long gone.

The best we can do is try and keep the planet habitable to humans as long as possible.
