How many of you out there feel that this is a repeat of history that will lead us into further military problems? George Santayana stated "Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it." Is this what is happening now? 2014-05-03T22:32:09-04:00 SPC Charles Brown 118121 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Downsizing of the military has happened several times in our history most recently after the Vietnam War ended. The planning and thought process continues to be worked on and revised as needed. We shall see how it works out and hopefully there won't be serious setbacks from the downsizing. It's one of my favorite sayings especially since it's very true. The actual wording though is "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it" which comes from Santayana's 1905 book "The Life of Reason".
