French Flag Overlays on Facebook

Wouldn't it be great if all the US had to do to support France was light up the Empire State building with the French colors? The lost of innocent lives last Friday night is something to have a moment for prayer, but as a veteran who served overseas with Brits, Aussies, and several other coalition forces... not the French, I am at a loss of pity. What I do feel is fear. The fear of many of my fellow Americans will experience when this war is on our own streets, in our own towns, on our own soil. Many are ready. Others will wake up way too late. Show your support, say your prayers, overlay your pictures... have at it. If your heart is truly for it, I applaud you. But let's remember that France said they wanted nothing to do with our wars and ideals. France wanted to be the next USA with "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free..." only now in this age France got... "Give us your savage cowards that will do anything to spread hysteria and kill through religious warfare". I will say a prayer for innocence lost. I will also pray that the dormant monster inside our vets that has been sleeping since we left that savage land doesn't wake in the eyes of those who never saw that side of their loved veteran son, brother, husband, or father. Let's fear more about being PC at the cost of more American lives... seems legit. over 10,000 Syrian refugees are her already. Anyone who believes they are all peaceful deserves a boot up their ass. Thousands of Vets are homeless, jobless, and suicidal but lets cater to these coward savages. Be ready America.

I am frequently amused at how frequently some people change their facebook picture, background, etc to fit into a trend.
No French Flags, no rainbows, no other trendy or politically correct backgrounds.

This type of diplomacy that you mention by changing your Facebook avatar is no different than Michelle Obama and her hashtag Diplomacy two free girls held by Boko Haram

Sgt Dennis Addesso For the first time I did change my FB to have the French flag. Why not? I agree with your point, action is much better than meaningless photo changes.

You got it right. ISIS said last year they would attack Europe first then they would attack the US. They will no doubt do it. I worry about our historical landmarks from the Golden Gate Bridge, Mt. Rushmore, the Arch in St. Louis. The National Archives in D.C, the tunnels going into NYC and many more. It's not a question of IF, it's only a matter of WHEN. Let's be ready and send as many ISIS members as we can to their reward. I like to think that the "72 Virgins" are Nuns.... :-)

Changing your picture to the French flag and all this other stuff is the same thing as Anericans slapping a yellow ribbon magnet or support your troops magnet on their car. It didn't bother us, made us feel good and supported. Moral support does a lot. All I have to say is welcome to the party France.
