Vastly more addressable memory, and most of the disadvantages listed there are no longer pertinent, particularly the 'lack of 64 bit software' one. I can't think of a single application I can't get in 64 bit these days, though there may be some few.Response by SN Greg Wright made Dec 28 at 2015 8:43 PM2015-12-28T20:43:56-05:002015-12-28T20:43:56-05:00SSG Gerhard S.1201491<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>64 bit.... it's twice as good as 32 bit.... :-) Sorry, couldn't resist. This means that if that computer comes with 8 GB of memory and because that built has to be done with a 32 Bit system, the amount of memory they will be able use is less then 4 GB. Meaning that will have 4 GB that computer will not be able to use. All due to that one software that can work in a 32 BIT system. <br />In a personal PC/laptop, If I use 6GB of Memory I would go with a 64 BIT OS because the 64 Bit will be able to use all the memory installed. If I use a 32 BIT OS then all the memory will not be used.<br />On the other hand if the Hardware I have can use only 2 GB max, then a 64 BIT OS will not install, leaving me with no choice but to use a 32 BIT OS.Response by SSG Laureano Pabon made Dec 29 at 2015 3:20 PM2015-12-29T15:20:37-05:002015-12-29T15:20:37-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member1203739<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>More addressable memory is reason enough for me.
