For those who served in Iraq and Afghanistan did any of you ever see the use of the Army camo net systems used for anything other than shade?

There was this little Patrol Base, PB Minden, that had camo netting above the areas that involved the TOC and sleeping tents. The shade was just a beneficial side product.

We just had it for shade, LTC Marc King. I think it was the woodland, but the desert stuff I saw didn't particularly match from what I saw.

Yes at FOB Danger it was over the Guard towers, more to make it harder for Snipers to acquire targets, and to offer some shade.

We used them for "concealment" on our various guard towers in Iraq.
