A lot of the recipients I have seen are extremely humble on the subject. If I were to win a medal of that magnitude I think I would just let others know it was for doing my job as trained.

I got it. And would say it hurt like a bitch. But with the Call of Duty generation. There is no respawn site in combat.

Best answer I ever heard to the Purple Heart award, came from a SF medic.....I forgot to duck. He refused to wear more than one. He had nine. He was something of a legend to us and highly respected by all.
